local community and presents a valuable contribution to the
strategic leadership of the Foundation.

Garen is a talented senior executive
within one of Australia's largest catering companies. He
brings his expertise within the cross section of finance and
technology and how it can be leveraged to deliver value.
Amongst his numerous qualifications, he holds a Masters of
Business Administration from the University of Technology,
Sydney.
Alice Watkins

Faculty of Information Technology of the University of
Technology
Alice has established herself as an authority on women's
issues within the workplace. She has published works

she conducted in collaboration with leading researchers.
Alice presents an essential contribution with regards to
women's contributions within non-profit executive leadership
issues.
Shahin Yaghoubian

Shahin is well versed in the entrepreneurial aspect of the
international energy industry. With over 25 years of
experience consulting for major oil refineries he has
detailed experience within the procurement, construction and
public relations aspects of new ventures. His innovative
flair and wealth of international business knowledge is an
important contribution to the Board.
Rosa Nazloomian
Philanthropist
Rosa possesses a variety of experiences within the
non-profit sector. She has been personally involved in a
countless number of voluntary activities within the
community. Her practical corporate understanding she
developed while working alongside senior executives at NCR
and IBM provide a valuable backdrop to her experiences with
the day-to-day management of non-profit institutions in
Australia.
Simon Malian
Executive Director
The Malian Foundation
Simon is well known for his
innovative entrepreneurial flair and his interest in using
his talents for the benefit of others. Simon has an
extensive professional background in the application of
technology to organizations and began his career as a
management consultant within IBM Business Consulting
Services. He later joined Westpac Institutional Bank
specializing in the technology used to support foreign
currency trading. After a period of time he was seconded to
join a Westpac subsidiary, BT Financial Group, as a business
analyst focusing on the technology used to administer life
insurance policies. He was then invited to return to Westpac
as an advisor to the Group Chief Information Officer. His
qualifications include a Bachelor of Information Technology
awarded with Distinction.
